AFP Partners with IACBEAFP has teamed up with the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) to further the reach of AFP’s University Partners Program (UPP).

The UPP equips students with essential financial and business analysis skills that are in high demand by partnering with colleges and universities to provide access to the curriculum for AFP’s Certified Corporate FP&A Professional (FPAC), the leading credential in corporate financial planning and analysis worldwide and the Certified Treasury Professional, the leading treasury credential held by more 80% of Fortune 500 companies. Further, it prepares students to sit for — and successfully pass — the exams and earn a provisional credential that will set them apart in the job market.

“By incorporating the body of knowledge of AFP’s FPAC and CTP certifications in their curriculum, colleges and universities participating in the UPP provide their students with the essential skills that CFOs have long recognized as being critical to driving growth in their organizations,” said Jim Kaitz, President & CEO of AFP.

To introduce the UPP to more colleges and universities, AFP has partnered with IACBE in several ways. AFP is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the IACBE Annual Conference in April. The IACBE is a leading outcomes-based professional accreditation agency for business and management education in colleges and universities whose primary purpose is excellence in teaching and learning. AFP and IACBE have also collaborated on webinars and a sponsorship of the 2023 conference.

The IACBE is excited to work with AFP to bring their professional certification content into the business school curriculum.  As a global organization committed to continuous learning, we value AFP’s international brand recognition and their commitment to sharing best practices within the industry to prepare the business leaders of tomorrow, said Pat Hafford, President of IACBE.

The UPP’s flagship partner is Indiana University’s highly regarded Kelley School of Business. Launched in 2024, the program partnership consists of a workshop in FP&A that prepares students to sit for the FPAC exam. Additionally, AFP provides participating students with:

  • Links to corporate recruiters and access to job postings and the AFP Career Site.
  • Access to AFP’s FPAC exam preparation materials.
  • Special student pricing for the FPAC exam.
  • Student passes to attend the annual AFP Conference.
