How to Register for the CTP Examination

The CTP Examination is made up of 170 multiple-choice questions and is based on concepts and experiences in relation to treasury management. Each question is derived from the body of knowledge, Essentials of Treasury Management, 2nd Edition. The content/topic areas are located on page 4 of the Candidate Information Bulletin (CIB).

1. Request the Candidate Information Bulletin, the comprehensive guide to the entire certification process, from registration to recertification.
2. Review the Candidate Information Bulletin for all policies and procedures regarding the CTP examination.
3. Review the products available to help you prepare for the CTP exam. *
   • Essentials of Treasury Management, 2nd Edition
   • AFP Learning System-Treasury
4. Submit the online application or use the printable version that is available in the CIB. For those submitting an online application, a link to the Eligibility Form is included in the online application confirmation e-mail.
   NOTE: an application is not complete until the Eligibility Form is submitted.
