The 2008 AFP Annual Conference
"Goes Green"
This year's Annual Conference incorporates changes to meeting practices
to ensure a "greener" tomorrow. Therefore, handouts
will NOT be distributed at 2008 AFP Annual Conference's education
sessions.
What does this mean for you?
- You will have online access to all session handouts; we will
notify you by early October when those handouts are available.
- A handout CD will be mailed to you with your badge in late September.
The CD will contain session handouts and the Annual Conference
program book to help you plan your schedule in advance.
- Session handouts will remain available to you online at the
conclusion of Annual Conference.

Conservation
- Zero Waste California encompasses recycling/proper disposal, waste reduction, reuse/conservation and environmental protection
- The Los Angeles Convention Center is a "green community" and is affiliated with the EPA's Waste Wise and Green Power Partnership programs and the U.S. Green Building Council.
- Handouts will be provided to attendees on the AFP Annual Conference Sessions page and on CD prior to Annual Conference
- Environmentally-conscious hotels and shuttle bus transportation
- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printed collateral

How can you be AFPAware
at Conference?
Take AFP Annual Conference shuttle buses. Use the recycling receptacles at the LACC and at your hotel. If you want handouts at your sessions, print them out in advance, double-sided, from the AFP Annual Conference Sessions page or from the CD. Have your badge scanned on the Exhibit Hall floor to have materials sent to you electronically. Encourage your colleagues to join the effort.
