AFP’s Corporate Treasurers Council Partners with Distinguished Treasury Professional

February 27, 2007 - Bethesda, MD – The Corporate Treasurers Council (CTC) of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) is pleased to announce that Kenn Ashley, a former Treasurer with more than thirty years of experience, has agreed to become the moderator of the quarterly Corporate Treasurers Council Roundtables in Chicago. Mr. Ashley, most recently the Vice President and Treasurer of Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc., will assume the role of moderator beginning with the March 16 Treasurers Roundtable in Chicago.

"The CTC provides a perfect environment for treasurers to talk to fellow treasurers, exchange ideas, network, explore issues and come away with some new ideas to assist them in doing their own job better," said Kenn Ashley. "I'm looking forward to continuing my involvement with the CTC and AFP and playing a vital role in these valuable Roundtables."

For more than fifteen years, Ashley has served as Treasurer, primarily with large public companies. During this time, he has been responsible for treasury, financing, pension management, insurance, and investment management.

"The CTC Treasurers Roundtables offer a no-holds-barred setting where top treasury professionals can have an interactive peer-to-peer exchange of ideas, issues and solutions," said Jeff Glenzer, Executive Director of the CTC. "Kenn's expertise in treasury will be a perfect addition to enhance the experience of the senior finance executives that attend these Roundtables."

AFP's Corporate Treasurers Council is a private network of treasury executives that meet in small groups and interactive forums to discuss critical issues facing treasury and the evolving role of the treasurer. Through these confidential interactions, treasurers identify practical solutions and innovative ideas to optimize treasury and drive the growth of their business.

The CTC holds quarterly Treasurers Roundtables around the U.S., as well as Virtual Roundtables and Virtual Forums with thought leaders on the most pressing issues confronting treasury executives. The CTC is open exclusively to corporate Treasurers, CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers and Assistant Treasurers.
