Association for Financial Professionals Calls for Proposals for 2009 AFP Annual Conference

Potential Speakers to Prepare Application Materials for January 7, 2009.

Bethesda, MD – December 16, 2008 – Treasury and finance professionals are being called on to prepare applications for speakers’ spots at the 2009 Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) Annual Conference in San Francisco. The AFP Annual Conference is the most important event for treasury and finance, offering more than 150 educational sessions, workshops and professional networking for more than 6,000 treasury and financial professionals in attendance.

Proposals are called for from treasury and finance thought leaders in the U.S. and abroad, in subject areas including: Cash and Liquidity Management; Corporate Finance and Capital Structure; Financial Accounting and Reporting; Global Financial Management; Payment Systems; Pension and Benefits; Risk Management; Treasury Operations; Canadian Treasury and Finance; and Career Development.

Speaker Applicants come from a wide pool of prospects including but not limited to CFOs, VPs of finance, controllers, treasurers, assistant treasurers, finance directors, cash managers, financial analysts, service providers, bankers, product managers and academicians from organizations ranging in size from $50 million to more than $10 billion in sales.

Speaker Applicants should be innovative problem solvers, having faced obstacles and adapted and introduced new programs, products, procedures or practices within treasury and finance. They should have also managed budgets and controlled costs, and be able to share their knowledge from a realistic, hands-on perspective.
