AFP 2018 is all about breaking out of your regular routine.

AFP’s annual conference is where treasury and finance professionals gather to refuel their passion for their jobs through networking, educational sessions and inspiring keynote presentations—all ways to break from the norm. But at AFP we know that we can’t just rest on our laurels and give you the same event year after year. Just like you, we know we have to constantly step up our game and break from the formula. AFP MINDSHIFT

You can’t talk about breaking from the norm without talking about AFP MindShift. Launched at AFP 2017, MindShift examines some of the most important technological innovations out there right now, and attempts to cut through the hype and gauge how these advances can (or can’t) enhance the treasury and finance profession. This year, MindShift will take a deep dive into artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, blockchain, digital transformation, using fintech to automate corporate strategy, leveraging APIs in cash management, and the overall future of work itself.

Last year’s AFP MindShift survey revealed that only 17 percent of organizations are prepared for the changes that new technologies could bring to their treasury and finance functions. Now is the time to prepare, and AFP MindShift is ready to help you do that. Don't miss the AFP MindShift Keynote presentation, in which visionaries Nancy Giordano, Founder of Play Big Inc., and Mike Walsh, CEO of Tomorrow, will share their insights on key milestones in the development of AI, robotics and augmented reality. Following Giordano’s and Walsh’s individual presentations, they will sit down for a panel discussion, moderated by CNBC’s Ron Insana.

PAYMENTS HUB

The Payments Hub—your one stop shop for all things payments at the annual conference—is back this year, and it’s been expanded. This year will feature the Payments Breakfast, the Payments Reception, the Payments Roundtable and the Payments Mixer, as well as our always popular Payments Session Track. With real-time payments finally taking shape in the United States and fraud spiraling out of control, there’s never been a more significant time for treasury and finance practitioners to focus on payments.

LEARNING OPTIONS

Everyone learns in a different way, and so AFP is offering dynamic options for educational sessions. Attendees will be able to choose the learning style that they think will have the greatest impact on them.

• New this year are our Campfire Sessions, in which a presenter pitches an idea and then shifts to a facilitator and engages the audience to gain different perspectives and solutions.
• Our Innovation Series features 30-minute presentations that cut to the chase and focus on an innovative concept.
• Our Learning Lounge allows you to dig deeper into certain topics with session speakers.

WELLNESS ZONE

At AFP 2018, we also want to focus on your personal growth. That’s why we’ve introduced the Wellness Zone, which helps you learn techniques to channel and boost your energy throughout the day.
