API standardization is a win-win for banks and corporate treasury departments

In an interview at a recent conference, Conrad Sheehan, Managing Director for Accenture, discusses the need for API standardization and how it applies to corporate treasury. Simply put, treasury departments with banking partners all over the world don’t want to have to interact differently with each one, especially when each bank is essentially providing the same services.

Sheehan also provides some details on Accenture’s partnership with NACHA’s API Standardization Industry Group (ASIG), and the Get Bank Contact Information API, which the organizations developed together. AFP 2018 has sessions on APIs in the Payments track.
