AFP is seeking qualified subject matter experts to participate on the CTP Body of Knowledge Committee.

The Essentials of Treasury Management, the body of knowledge (BoK) for AFP and the CTP examination is reviewed and updated every three years.  The current edition consists of 20 chapters that provide a broad overview of the activities of a treasury professional. It includes a glossary of key treasury management terms, as well as questions and answers to help readers test their comprehension of each chapter.

The Committee has a vital role in the editorial process of the BoK. It insures that the material in the book is consistent with the practices of treasury management and is responsible for editing and revising the content.

The Committee will review the current edition of the BoK, the 2018 Job Analysis and test specifications, in order to reach consensus on the content of the next edition of the BoK. As the editor completes chapters, Committee members will review them and suggest edits.                                                                          

The Committee will begin work in April 2018. In order to meet the print date of September 2019, there will be a limited timeline for review of each chapter. During the course of this 16-month project, the Committee is required to meet once in person for a 2.5-day session the week of July 9, 2018.

Committee members will then be assigned to several chapters. Once chapter editing begins, committee members will meet one to three times via web conference per chapter to discuss changes. The majority of the Committee’s work will be performed between web conferences, reading and editing chapters, using collaborative software.

AFP will pay for travel, hotel, and meal expenses to all in-person committee meetings. Committee members will earn up to 24 CTP recertification credits.
