AFP's advocacy program aims to ensure that the treasury and finance profession's point of view on critical issues is factored into public discussion, legislative debate and regulatory rule-making. We are committed to supporting effective regulations and oversight of our nation's capital markets, engaging with lawmakers and regulators to promote safe transparent markets that both maximize the competitiveness of American companies, and foster an environment for overall economic growth.

AFP is active within all levels of public policy, ranging from legislation in Congress to implementation of laws and rule-writing by regulators and standard-setters.
