Presented By: Sai Giridhar, Finance Director, Shell Energy India; Arjun Jolly, Head of Reporting and Analysis, Downstream & Trading, Shell
When FP&A was a smaller function, few people were able to perform the many tasks using the most versatile tool, spreadsheets. However, maturation of the job is leading to specialization throughout the information value chain. As data became the new oil, Shell Oil began to develop “purple people” in its finance department, to introduce new data tools and training that empowers their team to be more effective. At the same time, specialization increases the interactions with others, whether they are specialized in finance or business operators. Attendees learn how to increase the data capabilities of their finance teams and how to embrace the effective “Teaming” techniques necessary for success.
12:00–12:30 PM SGT: Attract and Hire the People You Want
